i can't believe it's been a year already. feels like only weeks ago we were hanging out at mompou and you were giving me advice on coping with some heavy issues.
you are extremely missed, and it was evident in tonight's mass. an entire year gone by, and no one's forgotten.
thank you for your love, for your smile, for your friendship, for bringing us all together, as a family in the remembrance of your joyful and loving spirit.

lugubrious goodbyes
every time things seem to be getting back to normal, it's time to say goodbye again. having one of your best friends move to another country is never an easy episode.
but it definitely makes you more appreciative of that friendship.
so this isn't a goodbye, it's an i'll be seeing you... SOON!

one day - leads to depression
so, i went to the movies this past weekend and watched One Day. let me start off by saying, Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, good golly! so beautiful.
the film was good. i enjoyed it, and don't want to spoil it for anyone; but i really did enjoy the movie until it made me depressed. queasy and depressed really.
i just give one piece of advice; while i think the film is worth watching, i say watch it within the privacy of your own home.
warning: you will want to ugly cry. haha.

vintage vineyard wedding
i'm going to take a moment to write about my friends who were married this past may.
seriously, maione and brian are two of the most beautiful people i know, and i'm not just speaking about the physical appearance; they truly are some of the most sincere, kind hearted and genuinely nice people i know. hearts of gold, really.
they had an amazing wedding day and the weather held out (it rained right before the couple arrived at the vineyard, and afterwards it was sunshine and a rainbow! followed by a beautiful clear night). i can't think of a couple more deserving of a perfect wedding.
at the end of their wedding night, while driving them to the hotel, i turned around and told mai; "i just want you to know that you're wedding was absolutely beautiful. you literally just had the wedding of my dreams." her smile from ear to ear was just the response i needed.
their wedding photographers posted the following on their site (including a brief Q&A with the bride) and i decided i'd share.
