i'm excited. scored free tickets at work, Happy Monday!! haha.
now that lala.com no longer works, i really need to find a new way to post songs on here. so annoying.
but definitely check out Band of Horses. their sound is great if you need to unwind.

high school reunion dinner
so, a group of us ladies decided to celebrate our 10 year high school reunion by having dinner and catching an off broadway show. last night is a bit of a blur; but from what i DO remember, it was one comical moment after another. i'm so glad that i'm the kind of person who can laugh at myself. good times. i still can't believe it's been 10 years already. crazy!

i already liked regina spektor's music, but now i like her even more!
she has teamed up with itunes and doctors without borders; all sales of her cover of radiohead's 'no surprises,' will go toward the emergency relief fund of doctors without borders. see details from itunes below:

For nearly a decade, singer/songwriter/classically trained pianist Regina Spektor has cultivated a devoted following through her grand lyrical scope and intimate playing style. The Radiohead songbook, in turn, has been explored from classical artist and NPR host Christopher O'Riley and jazz pianist and composer Brad Mehldau to new folk stylist Luka Bloom and Tony Award-winning singer/songwriter Duncan Sheik. Inspired by recent earthquake-fueled disasters in Haiti and Chile, Spektor recorded a breathtaking version of Radiohead's 'No Surprises,' employing a stark yet beautiful piano-and-string arrangement. Net proceeds from this recording's sale will go toward the Emergency Relief Fund of the International independent medical humanitarian Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontiéres.

happy mother's day!
above is a photo of my beautiful and amazing mother when she was 18 or 19.
i've been blessed with a loving, caring and sometimes nutty mom; who has always given selflessly so that her children could have all their needs fulfilled. mothers should be thanked daily for all they do, all they sacrifice, all they give. =]

so this past friday i took a mini-road trip down to atlantic city with some friends to catch a show.
it took us about 4:30 hours to make a trip that should really take 2; thanks to road work & "el traffico"... BUT
the show was soooo worth it!!
PARAMORE!!! i had the pleasure of seeing them live once before. it still amazes me, how much energy they have!! their shows are tons of fun. and little miss hayley williams blows me away every time. i just don't know how she can be bouncing around all over the stage, while singing her heart out and STILL manages to sound great. i <3 her.
